Russia's View on the Congress of Vienna

Csar Alexander I was the primary negotiator for Russia during the Congress of Vienna. Russia received the greater part of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw, and this was their main negotiation at the Congress.

Russia's View on the Congress:

We, as a nation, believe that the Congress of Vienna is a beneficial meeting for the 5 great powers. Since Napoleon has taken many lands, the balance of power in Europe has been upset. This Congress has given us, and Europe as a whole, to regain the balance and peace. The Congress has been beneficial for most every state involved, and especially for us. It is our pleasure to have obtained control of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw. This new territory will hopefully help us further our influence in the west. Most importantly, we hope that the Congress of Vienna will help to retain peace throughout Europe, and restore things to how they were in earlier times! The opportunity for all countries to meet and discuss in a peaceful way the future of our great continent will have important benefits for all of us.
